Hidden 2026, a micro-festival of interactive inflatable art, runs 10-12 July 2026 at Ballarat's Civic Hall this weekend.

The timing aligns with a series of cultural events scheduled throughout the year that draw on local traditions and creative practices. These gatherings provide residents and visitors with repeated chances to participate in activities tied to specific dates and venues around Ballarat.

February and March Festivals

Ballarat Harmony Fest takes place 14-26 February 2026 as a multi-day cultural festival. The Ballarat Begonia Festival follows on 7-9 March 2026 at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and features over 600 unique begonia varieties along with the PowerFM Begonia Parade.

May Events

The inaugural Ballarat Craft + Design Week runs 1-10 May 2026 with a focus on textiles and restorative practices, including a preview event at the Ballarat Mining Exchange. Later that month the 2026 Ballarat Heritage Festival occurs 21-24 May under the theme Hidden Histories and incorporates a major Chinese heritage element that includes a replica of the 1901 Chinese Arch.

These dates and locations appear in official listings that outline the sequence of events for the year. The details allow planning around particular weekends and sites without overlap in the listed periods.

July Weekend Focus

Hidden 2026 continues the pattern of short, themed gatherings by concentrating on playful interactive installations at the Civic Hall over three days. Attendance at any of the events depends on checking current schedules through the venues and organisers listed in the festival announcements.

Further information on timings and access can be found on the Ballarat city website and related festival pages that compile the annual calendar.
