Palace Regent Cinema
Palace Regent Cinema opened in 1928 at 49 Lydiard St N in Ballarat Central. The venue now mixes mainstream blockbusters with international film festivals and premium upmarket films. Its historic main cinema, Cinema 1, seats over 700 people and features Digital 3D projection. After a 2009 upgrade the cinema has hosted live events and special broadcasts on one of Victoria’s largest 3D screens.
Showbiz Cinemas Ballarat
Showbiz Cinemas Ballarat operates as a modern six-screen cinema inside Delacombe Town Centre. Current screenings listed there include Toy Story 5, Moana, Supergirl, Minions & Monsters, and The Christophers. The two city-based venues, Palace Regent Cinema and Showbiz Cinemas Ballarat, sit alongside Astor Cinema in Ararat and Centre Cinema in Horsham to form the region’s primary cinema network.
Current Screenings at Palace Regent
Palace Regent Cinema lists multiple daily sessions for several titles. Sinners screens at 1:00 PM, 2:50 PM, 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. A Minecraft Movie runs from 10:00 AM through 9:15 PM. Thunderbolts* plays at 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM and 8:30 PM. These times illustrate the venue’s capacity for staggered programming across its historic auditorium and additional screens.
